Tarangire National Park Day Trip is one of the most rewarding wildlife experiences in Northern Tanzania.
Located approximately 120 km southwest of Arusha, Tarangire National Park is renowned for its large elephant herds,
iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. The park covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers and is
home to an impressive variety of animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests,
buffaloes, impalas, and over 550 species of birds.
The Tarangire River, which flows through the park year-round, serves as a vital water source and attracts large concentrations
of wildlife, especially during the dry season. This makes Tarangire one of the best parks in Tanzania for game viewing and
wildlife photography.
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha at approximately 7:00 AM. After a short safari briefing by your professional driver-guide, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, enjoying scenic views of the Maasai countryside and rural villages along the way.
Upon arrival at the park gate, your game drive begins immediately. Tarangire is famous for its giant baobab trees, spectacular landscapes, and some of the largest elephant populations in East Africa. During your game drive, you may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, warthogs, ostriches, and numerous antelope species.
A picnic lunch will be served at one of the designated picnic sites within the park, offering beautiful views of the surrounding wilderness while you relax and enjoy your meal.
In the afternoon, continue exploring different sections of the park, following wildlife movements along the Tarangire River and searching for predators resting under acacia trees. Bird enthusiasts will have excellent opportunities to spot a variety of colorful bird species.
Later in the afternoon, you will begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening. Alternatively, drop-off can be arranged at Kilimanjaro International Airport or any other agreed location according to your travel schedule.
